The accommodation is suitable for a couple. The sofa bed in the living room converts to give another two sleeping spaces - ideal if you have friends visiting you for a night or two. This house is NOT SUITABLE for children or the infirm.
Care has been used when renovating the house to keep as many original features as possible, including all the window frames and shutters, doors, the stone and tiled floors, and the exposed beams.
The kitchen is well equipped with a new electric cooker, fridge, microwave and electric kettle. There is a griddle pan, and various other pots and pans. There should be everything you need to make wonderful meals from the local produce - including sharp knives!
The living room is comfortably furnished, and has a broadband wireless router which you are welcome to use if you bring your laptop. There is also a small flatscreen TV with a UK Sky decoder - if you can't bear to be without your favourite tv programmes! There is an I-Symphony Stereo DVD player - which has a docking station for your Ipod, as well as being able to play CDs and DVDs. There is a good collection of books, most of them about the area, and well as a few DVDs.
The bedroom is high ceilinged, with the original old beams exposed (as in all the rooms). The room has 2 windows - there is one on the back wall of the room as well as on the front of the house. The original stone floor is covered by antique persian rugs.
There is a new, comfortable full size double bed, with matching bedside cabinets and chest of drawers.
At the top of the house is the bathroom - with shower, washbasin and mirror with shaving point, and the sunroom.
